IMPORTANT, Mike not only qualifies for Section 8 vouchers but preferential treatment as well. Veterans generally have priority over Section 8 voucher holders and in large housing development projects, the builders often receive incentives ($$) to rent to veterans. This results in a small number of units being reserved only for veteran occupancy. The takeaways is to always say Mike is a vet with a HUD-VASH voucher when speaking about housing.
